TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
After breakfast set off for the 9 hour drive South Western of Kampala. Short stop at the Equator for nice photo shots and buy some traditional items like bags, shoes which would provide you with the best memory of your safari and we proceed to the royal drum makers for some interaction briefly. Beautiful Volcanoes of Rwanda, triangle peaks of Virunga, the western part of the Rift valley will all be seen on our way to the park then have our lunch en route. In the early evening reach the park, dinner and over night at Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs / Sliver back Safari Lodge / Buhoma community rest camp (Full Board)
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Park.
Early morning after breakfast, you will go for gorilla tracking but before tracking, you will be briefed by the Ranger at 7:30 am and at 8:30am with packed lunch, you will start the trek to hunt for the Gorillas. You will be able to track the Mubare, Habinyanja, Rushegura, Bitukura or Nshongi Gorilla different family groups. And when you find, you shall spend almost an hour enjoying them and observing the kind of life they live, this will be a great achievement since these great giants are unpredictable. This walk will take around 3-4 hours depending on which group you are tracking and where you will meet the gorillas. After tracking return to the hotel and relax, Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs / Sliver back Safari Lodge / Buhoma community rest camp (Full Board)
Day 3: Hike to the water falls
After morning breakfast, take hike through Bwindi imenetrable forest to Munyanga Waterfall. On your look out for a lot of birds, flora and fauna, water springs and forest rivers. Your will visit three waterfalls all foound in the forest. Return to your hotel for lunch and reax. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs / Sliver back Safari Lodge / Buhoma community rest camp (Full Board)
Day 4: Batwa Culture Trail
Wake up to a leisurely breakfast and prepare for yet another adventure around the park as you visit these indigenous natives the Batwa. The Batwa are Uganda’s marginalized people and are view with derision by most of the Ugandan Nationals. The Batwa have lived their lives to current generations by hunting and gathering in the forest. The visit to the Batwa invariably involves songs and a dance demonstration, and once the music begins you can’t help but notice that they project a genuine pride in themselves. You shall then return to the lodge for lunch and also relax. Enjoy your evening at leisure as you prepare yourselves for tomorrow's transfer to Mgahinga National park. Day 5: Transfer from Bwindi to Mgahinga National park
After Early morning breakfast, You will depart to Mgahinga NP through Kisoro. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you sit back and admire the Kigezi highlands, the sloppy terraces of Kisoro, thousands of plantations on the road side, views of the Virunga ranges and various lakes. Mgahinga is part of the Virunga Mountains having 3 major peaks Muhabura, Gahinga and Sabinyo. Though this is the smallest park in Uganda it is richly endowed with a great photogenic scene, various primate species mainly the mountain gorillas, golden monkeys among others plus over 115 bird species including local forest Albertine species. Reach at your hotel, have luch and relax at the hotel preparing for tomorrow's Gorilla trekking. Dinner and overnight at Mount Gahinga Rest Camp /Amajambere Iwacu Community Camp (Full Board)
Day 6: Gorilla Tracking at Mgahinga National Park
Gorillas are normally present in Mgahinga from October – May and the rest of the year in Rwanda. On a day of tracking wake up early and go in search of the mountain gorillas. It takes about 3 or 5 hours as given the small size of the park. Spend an hour or two with these highly endangered species as you learn a few things about them. Return to your hotel for lunch and relax. Dinner and overnight at Mount Gahinga Rest Camp/Amajambere Iwacu Community Camp (Full Board)
Day 7: Golden Monkey Tracking.
You will go for golden monkey tracking along side other primates . On your tracking expect to see golden monkeys, a lot of birds, flora and fauna, other monkeysand many more. Dinner and overnight at Mount Gahinga Rest Camp /Amajambere Iwacu Community Camp (Full Board)
Day 8: Return to Entebbe
Enjoy breakfast and drive to back to Entebbe. Stop for lunch at the equator and to buy souveniors. Proceed to Entebbe where our trip ends. Dinner and overnight at 2 Friends Beach Hotel / Cape Diem Guest house (Full Board) check into the hotel waiting for your flight departure. Our Driver guide will drop you at the airport.
